Folktales have been an important element of Malawi society. Elders in villages gather their children and grand-children for life lessons expressed through story telling called “Folktales”. As many are moving to urban areas this tradition is under threat of extinction. However, it is worthwhile that one has an opportunity to learn various lessons from elders expressed through folktales.
